Full story
There are many wood products that showcase the latest development sin sustainable wood technology such as laminated bamboo tiles that are durable and cheaper than traditional hardwoods. They are made by laminating several layers of wood from the bamboo plant (which is actually the world’s biggest grass) that grows quite fast and is readily available. These innovations are just some of the new technologies that are coming out of materials research laboratories who are constantly introducing products that impacts the earth less, providing us with better and cheaper building materials. Paper products have also been recycled into furniture that are not only biodegradable but can be disposed of in the local landfill or even buried in the backyard as composting material when no longer needed.
Natural fibers are being used for carpets and for furniture covers that lessens the need for oil-based polymers used in artificial products. Products such as hemp, rattan, bamboo fiber and more are slowly finding their way into the market helping us deal with global warming from the comforts of our home. They also look warmer and feel better in time as they get better as they age.
